Role Overview
We are looking for motivated Mechanical Design Interns who are eager to gain hands-on experience in mechanical component and assembly design within a real-world manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in mechanical design of components, assemblies, and sub-systems
- Prepare 2D drawings and 3D models as per design standards
- Support design calculations and basic engineering analysis
- Coordinate with production, quality, and purchase teams for design feasibility
- Assist in design modifications based on manufacturing feedback
- Help maintain design documentation, BOMs, and revision records
- Support continuous improvement and cost-optimization initiatives
Eligibility Criteria
- BE / BTech students in Mechanical Engineering
- Final-year students or recent pass-outs preferred
- Basic understanding of manufacturing processes and materials
Skills Required
- Proficiency in CAD software (AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Creo, or equivalent)
- Knowledge of GD&T and engineering drawings (basic level)
- Understanding of machining, fabrication, and assembly processes
- Willingness to learn and adapt in a manufacturing setup
- Good communication and teamwork skills
